Born in Manchester, England, Hayley Mills immigrated with her family to Australia on the S S Australis in 1974. She grew up predominantly in Sydney, moving to the Blue Mountains in 1997 and then on to Tasmania, the island state of Australia, in early 2009, were she settled and remains there today.

Though stories were always banging around in her head,  life simply got in the way and imagination faded into the background to make way for reality. It was unfortunate the earlier stories were never put to pen and paper.  In 2013 she discovered the good sense to write them down, and for now has continued to create published and unpublished novels.

​

Lord Have Mercy, though the first novel to be published in The Mercy Aymes Series, was not the first book to be written. The first completed novel 'Fragile Wings' was not originally  written with publishing in mind, but with some encouragement Hayley has begun the editing process and will ready it for publishing after the release of a further two novels. 

 

 Mercy on Your Soul  is the sequel to LHM and was released on the 2nd March 2021.

She is  currently working on the third book in the series and the final chapters in a stand alone novel, 'Send Me an Angel that will hopefully go through the editing process this year.'

A second series has gone into the research stages and will feature many specific parts of Tasmania as it's backdrop.

 

She looks forward to getting to work on the new novels and meeting the many wonderful authors and avid readers throughout the writing community .
